A topic for many painters through the centuries… Gustave Louis Michael Aloux 1887-1965, a painter focused on colonial and maritime history. 
 

I quite like the maps, especially the before and after detail on the last.

They had to think it was the end of the world in the 1692 earthquake. Been thru a couple modern ones that were scary, but they dont even rate compared to Port Royal.

 

William... Note the tavern is the center of the Debauchery scene. Careful who you choose for a barkeep!  LOL

It's incredible how compact/dense the township is built up or was - amazing.
