We broke down camp, I packed the car and after a scrape with the Fort Gaines Monument Marker, I was the last. Some ramdom inlet in Alabama … Queen Anna’s Revenge II (My wife Anna’s sloop) Edit (Edit 2, read in voice of The Viceroy for effect, but not his words- far be it!): The main passage known as “I-85” should be called “Idiot Purgatory” where poor souls wander aimlessly, at random speeds at random times (35-95+) for no apparent rationale (excluding choke-points around Atlanta) … all the way from Montgomery to Greenville, SC (& beyond). I am reminded why I usually take longer routes to simply avoid this passage …. I survived (just barely in more cases than I can name), though 2 hours were added to my trip vs going down there.
