Mary Diamond
If you are lucky enough to see linen tow fabric, snatch it up. I was lucky to obtain some, and it is my favorite for toweling fabric. It is coarsely woven, like burlap, but a heavier weight. Oooh, shiny!

Labeled "coarse linen" and for $6 yard. Thought it might end up being too rough but the washed sample they had was not too bad, and for the cost of a coffee, it was worth the attempt IMHO....glad someone has some experience and the same thoughts!!
