Stynky Tudor Posted March 10, 2023 Author Share Posted March 10, 2023 NOTE: Some of you will need to overt your eyes, this is not a hand sewing tutorial - I’m using a modern sewing machine. The average Market Wallet seems to be about 12 to 15 inches wide by 30 to 40 inches in length. First find yourself some medium weight linen or cotton cloth and cut it to an appropriate size. The wallet I make here in this example is for small items and is roughly 10 inches x 26 inches. So we need our cloth to be cut to 20 inches x 26 inches. Fold your material in half - right side in, bringing the longest edges together. The center opening for your wallet needs to be at least 8 inches. So measure 9 inches from each small edge, mark & pin. Now sew the long edges together, keeping in mind not to sew your opening closed. Break out the old flat iron and flatten our new seams. Now sew your flattened seams flat. Line up, pin the shorter edges & sew them closed. Turn everything right side out and iron. Add a few items, give it a twist and hang it from a belt or over your shoulder. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
