The Crewe of the Fancy

The Crewe of the Fancy is based out of Pennsylvania with some members in the surrounding states.  We are named after Henry Every's crew specifically due to the connections between Pennsylvania and the Every Affair.  

Our purpose is to portray historically accurate pirates and sailors from the 1680s up to the 1720s.  We are versed in historical weapons, tactics, fishing, cooking, sewing, games, and are not opposed to singing a few songs, historical or not.  Most of all we want to connect the public with history in a fun AND accurate way.  

For prospective members we are very open to a wide range of impressions covering the time period and also enjoy in-house makers and connections to many artisans.  

For historic sites and events, we offer a peak at life during the Golden Age of Piracy.  We are up for many demonstrations and programs for adults and children alike.
