Grymm
Like it says on the tin, a trick knife, bit like the comedy arrow through the head, from the 1700's http://www.museums-sheffield.org.uk/collections/objects-in-3d/blades/trick-knife Lambourne! Lambourne! Stop that man pissin' on the hedge, it's imported.
Cascabel
Interesting....... The handle looks like the handle on a plug bayonet.
PoD
I have a couple of spare plug bayonet handles. I might try making a normal clasp knife based on that design. ...and then I discovered the wine...
peglegstrick
Looks like a Brown bess plug bayonet to me......
Grymm
It's a simple turned folding 'penny knife' handle, just looks a bit like a plug bayonet. You can still get similar designs of handle today. €6(Euros)'ll get you one of these from this site http://www.mehr-als-...r-2526_3529.htm The thing that I only just noticed is what looks like an Opinel style locking ring or at least the patina/wear of where one was!?
