Is anything piratical happening in the North East, New England area on Memorial Day Weekend? Looking at the schedules, it seems mighty thin around here all summer. Even a bunch of the regular events have not published details for this year.

I looked at that one. I can not find any website that gives any details of the event, or any info on reenactors registration, camping, etc.

I believe that Ye Pyrate Brotherhood host this event.

Festival update after the fact.

http://www.thepiratefestival.org/

The event was run and coordinated by the LI Maritime Museum's staff.

Pirates of the Northern Star, Ye Pyrate Brotherhood, Valhalla's Pirates, Kings of the Coast provided entertainment plus The Brigands, Pirates for Sail, Bawdy Buccaneers, Strike the Bell and John Corr for music.

I think that any actual camping was sub rosa.

It appears that the event was a success and the maritime museum is talking about doing it again next year (2013).
