Duchess
The only log in option I can find is to use facebook. To get an option that allows me to use my regular login information I need to try to do something forbidden to nonmembers, like view a profile. Is this an intentional upgrade to push folks toward using facebook?
Mission
This is just a guess, but do you prohibit pop-up windows? When I log in with my laptop, a new window pops-up for this purpose. There are several functions that use pop-up windows since the last upgrade. Mycroft: "My brother has the brain of a scientist or a philosopher, yet he elects to be a detective. What might we deduce about his heart?" John: "I don't know." Mycroft: "Neither do I. But initially he wanted to be a pirate."

Duchess
I do block pop-ups, because most of time they're advertisements. So no plans to unblock them. There used to be a little sign in button right up at the top. Now all that's there is sign in via facebook button. I can certainly continue to apply this work Do Something Forbidden work-around. It just seems cumbersome.
oderlesseye
Eye was forced to use my FB log in instead of my old pass word..this sux..Eye don't care for 'Global" log-ins because once your hacked they can have access to all my accounts and web sites eye frequent. Louisiana Jeff
Most pop-up blockers have an exception list. Just add pyracy.com to the pop-ups ok section.
Mission
It sounds like the problem is occurring before they get to the pop-up. I am not having that problem, even when I am logged into my FB account, so I don't understand why people are seeing it differently. We really need Stynky in on this one. (Although Jeff is right - you should add the Pub to your exceptions list. You're not going to get pop-up ads here, you're only going to miss things.) Mycroft: "My brother has the brain of a scientist or a philosopher, yet he elects to be a detective. What might we deduce about his heart?" John: "I don't know." Mycroft: "Neither do I. But initially he wanted to be a pirate."
Mission
This is almost certainly a problem with not allowing pop-up windows. I made a mistake logging in through the pop-up this morning and it kicked me to a web-page based login that failed, even with the correct log in info. So I reset everything and was able to log in though the pop-up with the correct password. You need to make an exception in your pop-up blocker to allow them on this page. I have never gotten ad pop-ups here, so unless something changes, it should present no unwanted problems. Mycroft: "My brother has the brain of a scientist or a philosopher, yet he elects to be a detective. What might we deduce about his heart?" John: "I don't know." Mycroft: "Neither do I. But initially he wanted to be a pirate."
Stynky Tudor
Hopefully that is all taken care of now - we had some corrupt files on the server.

Duchess
I only see the log in via facebook option in the top right corner. I don't get the regular log in option until I try to do something forbidden to the unregistered user, like view a profile. Then I get escorted to a log in screen that will accept my usual user name and password.
Stynky Tudor
Here's a few screen captures of what I see when I go through the sign in sequence. The Primary Sign In image shows the Sign In / Login option next to the Facebook icon. The Pop Up Sign In image shows what pops up when you click the Sign In / Login text link - up near the top right hand corner of the screen, next to the Facebook icon. If you don't enter any text - leaving the text fields blank and just select the Sign In button at the bottom of the Pop Up, you should be taken to the more familiar Secondary Sign In screen. Populate the appropriate fields with your name and password and you should be good to go.
Mission
That last screen was where I was trying to enter the correct log-in and getting a failure message. So I started over and used the pop-up and it worked fine. Mycroft: "My brother has the brain of a scientist or a philosopher, yet he elects to be a detective. What might we deduce about his heart?" John: "I don't know." Mycroft: "Neither do I. But initially he wanted to be a pirate."
Stynky Tudor
Can you double check that for me? Sign / Log Out Clear your browser cache ( maybe even hit reload a few times ) Then try the process again and Login on the Secondary screen If the problem persists, please do a screen capture or at least get me the error code - could be an indicator that we have a more extensive problem. Mission
Nope, it worked that time. Perhaps they fixed it with whatever they did to the forum. Stynky Tudor
On Firefox, if you by pass the pop-up like I talked about - the secondary screen should remember / populate that stuff.
