Iron Bess
I thought Beauty was in the eye of the Beer holder? Well.... you are what you eat I suppose. Well, you may not realize it but your looking at the remains of what was once a very handsome woman!
endkaos
My guess is Master and Commander would have taken more awards if they hadn't been up against LOTR. I think one of the winners (best documentary?) summed it up best when they said, "I'm thankful LOTR was not nominated in this category." Hopefully, since LOTR, Return of the King, was number 3 in this series, number 2 & 3 in the series of POTC have a shot for taking some oscars. The bar has been set. Can Disney beat it? With Iron Bess and the writers on their crew, I bet they can! ~Tori Like any unmanned ship, a novice sailor will eventually steer into the wind and then in circles. Matty Bottles
I would like to congradulate Charlize for being the first true African-American Oscar winner. That's a good one, Deacon! I was going to say "But what about Omar Sharif?" but he's not an American citizen or resident, or an Oscar winner. So I didn't say it. Except just then, when I told you what I intended to do, and didn't. "The time was when ships passing one another at sea backed their topsails and had a 'gam,' and on parting fired guns; but those good old days have gone. People have hardly time nowadays to speak even on the broad ocean, where news is news, and as for a salute of guns, they cannot afford the powder. There are no poetry-enshrined freighters on the sea now; it is a prosy life when we have no time to bid one another good morning." - Capt. Black Deacon
Thanks. -------------- "Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in one pretty well preserved piece without an even a kiss your hand, but to skid across the line broadside, thoroughly used up, worn out, smelling of powder, shouting ARRRG!!"
