In the final episode of the series, (Going to America - Season 3, episode 8) Father Dougle attempts to confirm with Father Ted that he isn't going to be left behind when Ted leaves for America. Ted prepares to respond when he sees his old com-padre looking back at him with archetypal puppy dog eyes.
