Silkie McDonough Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 (edited) Since I dont' recall what a "rope walk" if I ever knew what it was but I thought perhaps it could involve falling and cement hurts when falling. lol DUH! ....making rope! ...Sometimers setting in! Dutchman Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 maybe inside the ramparts- out of the sun. i'd hate for cross to burn.
Capt. Sterling Posted June 10, 2010 Author Posted June 10, 2010 Aye black men and burning crosses... not a good mix "I being shot through the left cheek, the bullet striking away great part of my upper jaw, and several teeth which dropt down the deck where I fell... I was forced to write what I would say to prevent the loss of blood, and because of the pain I suffered by speaking."~ Woodes Rogers Crewe of the Archangel http://jcsterlingcptarchang.wix.com/creweofthearchangel# http://creweofthearchangel.wordpress.com/
Silkie McDonough Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 Captain Sterling, As to contacting the "email the leaders of the various encampments listed in being in attendance to see what they're interested in doing". You could check out the PiP 2010 Role Call thread and contact those people. I guess they don't come to the pub often enough to see this thread before say, August.
Capt. Sterling Posted June 10, 2010 Author Posted June 10, 2010 The idea behind this thread was to get a rough idea of who wanted to do what as far as the required living history demonstrations go. As these demonstrations will be on going through out the entire weekend except for breaks and the battles, there is plenty for everyone to take part in. For example, no one crew need only handle one specific demo such as only the Mercury crew doing weapons. Various members from any of the crews can take turns doing each demo or come up with something that so far hasn't even been listed which pertains to pyracy and maritime life. If, for example, someone from the Mercury wishes to do weapons and someone from the buccaneer camp wishes to do weapons, they can take turns and give each other breaks, or they can work together and only do weapons at certain hours which we could easily put on the schedule. There are no rules set in stone right now. There is no schedule as of yet, we were just looking to see who would be interested in doing what so we can come up with a schedule. As most of the crewe leaders for the GAoP and the buccaneer crews and even one of the 1800s crews is already on the pub, they know where to look. Any crews that aren't on the pub and are attending, Fayma will take care of. Reginal S. Killingsworth Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 Still talking with Master Killingsworth to see if he's willing to show up and help Lilly McKinney with the history of English/American theater too. Splendid, my sweet dear flower. As I see by the good Captain's list, Nick and Finn be there; as I will be happy to help out. It is the cause, it is the cause, my soul. Let me not name it to you, you chaste stars, it is the cause.
Capt. Sterling Posted June 11, 2010 Author Posted June 11, 2010 (edited) Finn will be presenting maritime/pyracy related demos as is required by the fort staff. Nick will only be seen during the battles and possibly Crime and Punishment. I shall be happy to add you as an after hours special presentation. Edited June 11, 2010 by Capt. Silkie McDonough Posted June 11, 2010 Posted June 11, 2010 (edited) Fionn would, as always, prefer to spend his time out of sight and out of mind but he also knows that if an officer gives a command he had best obey. Since he was first conceived he has nere been able to keep himself out of trouble. Polishing all the cannons on the ship has not yet taught him his lesson. I believe he has been the ships lier for 6 weeks at last count. But this is not a discussion for a public forum. If the Captain wishes him to remain on the ship I am sure he would be happy to do so. THAT is between Fionn & the ships officers. I very much want to have learned the knowledge needed to discuss the role of the ordinary & the propriter of said extablishments at the time. Much to learn! Edited June 11, 2010 by Silkie McDonough
Lily Alexander Posted June 11, 2010 Posted June 11, 2010 Nick also, would prefer to stay out of sight and mind. But the roar of the great guns is much too exciting for him to stay away from. Unfortunately, gambling is also something he can't seem to stay away from. Too bad he keeps getting caught, If you're gonna give me a headache, please bring me an aspirin! http://www.forttaylorpyrates.com/
Dutchman Posted June 11, 2010 Posted June 11, 2010 oi sterling, ya know- the rope walk is something the midshipmen should be able to do. lets get them started at BBF. I can also head up for a weekend when its cooler and work with them on it.
Capt. Sterling Posted June 11, 2010 Author Posted June 11, 2010 By all means Dutch, they loved helping with the parceling last weekend and Josh was mighty proud that the end results went to actually be used on the Explorer. We shall also have short readings from historical documents and books on Pirate Life and of course Pirate trials. No one has heard of me because I never left any witnesses.

Black Hearted Pearl Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 I emailed Ms. Callahan over a week ago and have not heard back. I suspect with all the activity on this forum, her 'inbox' is quite full. Hell no Reg. Yer on yer own, I am blessed with the fact that I won't actually have time fer ye or that actress of yers. I have far more important matters to attend to, even if it is only getting drunk. Now back to the business for which this thread was created. We are running out of time and it would be most appreciated if this thread staid on track. Thank ye all.
