Ragnar Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 Hmm.some valid observations I'm sure.....yet I say if that's what yer wanting to do,then damn the nay sayers n raise colors(preferably red)...nothing' and I do mean nothing compares to the command of your own vessel.something of substance'not the pool toys...avoid the purist mentality as they mention, wood is consuming in cost to build, and need to be carefully assesed if existing as they are prone to neglect and issues. As the fellow mentions the yards back row, derelicts in the anchorages can be good sources.woodenboat has a boats for free section.some nothing more than patterns some new construction that coin or mortality have stopped progress. If you make the jump, consider the realities,a trailerable boat would be best if you don't plan on living aboard ,as the dockage and such just does'nt make for a fun time
King's Pyrate Posted April 22, 2011 Posted April 22, 2011 I am converting an old boat into a pirate ship to transport and display my pirate hats. You can see my progress in my gallery. Project Red Witch
