Map- case? box? portmanteau? valise?

I just reseved a very cool looking frensh 1656 map. (from PoD)

Now my qustion is: If I where a 1700 persona, then where in would I keep my maps (save and dry)?

I have seen some period leather tubes used for storing maps. They were heavily waxed and snug fitted end caps that slid on over the inner leather tube.

waxed bamboo tube, although if you wish to keep them flat a leather portfolio wrapped in oilskin.

I think some would have been kept in chests too. I'm sure i've seen map/document chests from the GAOP era on my travels.
