Is this a mather of fasion, backed up by archeological, pictorial or written evidence? Or do we al think that dark collored hats are cooler then white, beighe or pink ones... Silkie McDonough Posted April 25, 2010 Share Posted April 25, 2010 I could be wrong but I believe that the black blanks were at more readily available to reenactor for some time. I still see more black blanks than other colors but as to that being historically accurate I wouldn't know. My two cents should makes things as clear as mud for you.
