For pirates who want to prove their mettle, try this.

Four people are going to try to recreate Captain Bligh's 4,400 voyage. Bligh had a crew of 18 in a 45-foot, open boat. These guys are trying it with 4 people in a 25-foot, open boat.

That is the coolest thing ever yet I must say those goys have a great deal of intestinal fortitide to attempt that historic voyage.

Bligh's launch was only 23-feet IIRC.

Try the journey of Mary Bryant also. She and several other Botany Bay prisoners made a 4000 mile journey in a ships cutter. I have the 2005 film based on this event on DVD as well.
