The best is the Queen Anne's Revenge in Charleston, SC. It has a Blackbeard theme. The restaurant has a number of real antiques from the GAoP and lots of reproductions. Every table has some sort of reproduction. The walls are covered with Howard Pyle paintings. There is also a pirate-themed bar in downtown Charleston. We went to another one somewhere in North Carolina. It is visible from I-77 and I think it is north of Charlotte but it didn't seem to be near anything. I met one of the owners the last time I was there and he loves us! There's "The Pirate's Landing" down in Port Isabel, TX. Never been there but I hear it is an excellent stop if you're ever down that way. They have a "pirate ship" that will take you on a dinner cruise at sunset. It sits on the water and looks like the inside of a ship or a seaside tavern of the time. With Pirate statues, cannons, rope rigging and such. Yea can sit on the dock and watch the ships pass by. It incorporates the oldest brick structure in Savannah. They claim to have a different ghost haunting each room including Captain Flint (that was his treasure in Treasure Island - I'm not sure how a fictional character can haunt a restaurant). captscurvy_nc Posted April 22, 2010 Share Posted April 22, 2010 There's the Jolly Roger in Ocracoke. Not so much a pirate theme since there is no inside to decorate. Just a covered kitchen and 10 tables next to the dock with about ten slips for ships. Only place I know of that has "sail thru" service.
