Capt. Sterling Posted April 19, 2010 Author Posted April 19, 2010 Ack Silkie, trying to get back into the wife's good graces ...**wicked grin** amongst other things...ahem... "I being shot through the left cheek, the bullet striking away great part of my upper jaw, and several teeth which dropt down the deck where I fell... I was forced to write what I would say to prevent the loss of blood, and because of the pain I suffered by speaking."~ Woodes Rogers Crewe of the Archangel http://jcsterlingcptarchang.wix.com/creweofthearchangel# http://creweofthearchangel.wordpress.com/
captscurvy_nc Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 Again, must resist urge to comment lest I get myself tied up come Hampton. Wait, that could be taken the wrong way too....
Tartan Jack Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 You'll get tied up . . . And like it, too. -John "Tartan Jack" Wages, of South Carolina
captscurvy_nc Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 Wouldn't be the first time, well, at least it would without paying for it....
Capt. Sterling Posted April 20, 2010 Author Posted April 20, 2010 Wouldn't be the first time, what? Wouldn't be the first time being tied up? OR wouldn't be the first time being tied up and liking it? "I being shot through the left cheek, the bullet striking away great part of my upper jaw, and several teeth which dropt down the deck where I fell... captscurvy_nc Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 Um, is there any way to answer this question without digging a deeper hole? Ask me when we get to Hampton.
Capt. Sterling Posted April 20, 2010 Author Posted April 20, 2010 Oh no, by all means, keep digging... will save my crewe the trouble of having to do so for when after we hang ye... captscurvy_nc Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 Starting to think it would be a good idea to bring some of my crew to Hampton now, just in case. Or at least to have someone to hurl in your direction so I can run away.
Tartan Jack Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 When's Hampton? I might just have to come up and watch this . . . (Of course, talking about distance in another thread, Hampton is about as far from me as Paynestown or Columbus. It's just a different direction.) -John "Tartan Jack" Wages, of South Carolina

Tartan Jack Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 Well . . . Crap . . . EVERYTHING is in July! We are expecting our third deckhand in mid-July and I've been told that of I go to an event in July, I'd better stay and get a job there . . . Capt. Sterling Posted April 20, 2010 Author Posted April 20, 2010 Well congratulations on the little one, but sorry all the same that you won't be able to make Hampton... captscurvy_nc Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 Should be an amazing event this year, keeps growing in numbers each year despite the chance of flooding the night before. Oh wait, that was just last year. Still think out of everyone I've met over the years I will remember Dutch the most due to how we met. Nothing like running through a tremendous rainstorm with two fire buckets cause the longboat was sinking! He has assured me the bildge pump is fixed now but I'd do it again in a second of the help was needed. As far as me running away from Capt. Sterling's crew we'll have to see of I can actually convience some of my own crew to join me this year so I won't be outnumbered. Still, his camp is much larger than mine and has a lot more firepower on hand than mine. Always said I enjoy a challange....
Capt. Sterling Posted April 20, 2010 Author Posted April 20, 2010 See Cap'n....i gots yur back...i'm the one holden the knife.... Ah so that's what that sharp, jabbing pain, betwixt my shoulder blades is from.... Silkie McDonough Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 Ack Silkie, trying to get back into the wife's good graces ...**wicked grin** amongst other things...ahem... John, I did not say that these indiscretions were recent. With that lad being as old as he is I dear say it was well before you were married. Additionally, it is highly unlikely that the missus is ever about this establishment nor would she speak to most of the like found here. My apologies dear John, I would offer to speak to her of the matter but I am well below her station and guess that she would not wish to speak to me.
captscurvy_nc Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 I'm trying to remeber what we laughing about...
Silkie McDonough Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 I am trying to remember what this thread was for.
Tartan Jack Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Not sure that was ever established beyond being the first one in this section, before (almost) ANYONE knew what the section was for . . . -John "Tartan Jack" Wages, of South Carolina
Admiral Kilo Posted June 16, 2010 Posted June 16, 2010 I still don't really know what the section is for. I saw something about a magazine, then jumped over here and have been laughing up at previous comments ever since. Admiral Kilo hath spoken. [Jolly Roger pending- if ye're willing to draw mine check the thread I made for it {this is a link})
