Found at Harbour Freight: 900 ft of Beeswax coated Flax twine. Don't have a micrometer handy, but by tape it looks to be just about 1/8" thick. Rated to a 39# work load. Looks good for marlinespike work.

I've been using both the waxed and non waxed flax, the non waxed i've tarred and am still waiting for it to dry , B'out 2 1/2 months now just waiting for the SUN to come out.

yes it works really well for smaller stuff and wrapping the corks on my bottles

Mr Cyphers ye can look through me gallery here on the pub or www.williewobble.esty.com many of the corks for the bottles are needle hitched and a needle case or two i've used the flax or other types of cordage flax,cotton ,jute ,tarred marlin

pick up a roll of the waxed flax its good for tying lots O' things and at $8 for 900 feet you'll not run out
