Capt. Sterling Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 If ye could call it that when it comes to Maddogge "I being shot through the left cheek, the bullet striking away great part of my upper jaw, and several teeth which dropt down the deck where I fell... I was forced to write what I would say to prevent the loss of blood, and because of the pain I suffered by speaking."~ Woodes Rogers Crewe of the Archangel http://jcsterlingcptarchang.wix.com/creweofthearchangel# http://creweofthearchangel.wordpress.com/
Silkie McDonough Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 I didn't go a wandering, my feet couldn't take it, saved me money. lol HOWEVER ...the Salvation Army did come around to the troupes, yep, DTA, "Donuts Through the Ages" was a hit. I got the dregs of the lemonade and the second to the last of the donuts. It was still good. Lemon seeds and all. lol

Silkie McDonough Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 Good heavens Bright! ...why am I surprised? That is just the depraved comment one can expect from one of these brigands.
Capt. Sterling Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 sniggering... but what a good depraved comment... Silver Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 i forgot to ask what sailor grub did you whip up to get the award?
Capt. Sterling Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 Venison, plum duff, pickled string beans, cheeses, and sweet potatoes for the officers, seafood chowder and salt pork, ship's biscuits, and pickles for the crew. Some kind of gruel for the indentured servants, just to list a bit of it...Cookie not only cooked his food well, but actually had it broken down by class and station and what he could trade for in the area we were shipwrecked in as part of our scenario and what he might have salvaged from the ship and what he managed to purchase at our last stop Bermuda. For class issues for instance, I got to throw my sweet potato back at him as I would have to be starving to eat something of the Catholic/French/Spanish/lower class nature. He not only cooked everything to perfection with Cheeky and Brig's help, but explained everything in character according to the history and our particular scenario. Silkie McDonough Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 Cookie did a great job. Researched EVERYTHING then presented it masterfully. Kudos to Cookie ...spy & pirate. We were going to let him cook our last meal before we hung him from the yard arm but then thought better of it.
