MadJack Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 Being new to piracy, would like opinions on Flying Canoe Traders wares. Not looking to be Captain, but a humble Seaman. If anyone's got extra in their slop chest am also interested.
callenish gunner Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 Louie is a good merchant and his wares are an honest value for what they are ...I've dealt with him for almost 10 years
Gunpowder Gertie Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 Aye- add me voice to the support of Flying Canoe. I've dealt with them, and found them honest and aboveboard, and the quality of their wares were excellent.
Quartermaster James Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 !) Ditto what Callenish and Gertie have said. 2) If memory serves, I believe much of what they offer is F&I wars forward and therefore outside the GAoP time-frame, and it is the buyer's responsibility to know whether a given piece is appropriate for his or her impression.
oderlesseye Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 They are who I went thru to put my close to period kit together.. Excellent slops..very comfortable and durable.. My order did take a few extra weeks to arrive but well worth the wait they were. http://www.myspace.com/oderlesseyehttp://www.facebook....esseye?ref=nameHangin at Execution dock awaits. May yer Life be a long and joyous adventure in gettin there! As he was about to face the gallows there, the pirate is said to have tossed a sheaf of papers into the crowd, taunting his audience with these final words: "My treasure to he who can understand."
michaelsbagley Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 If you check out this thread on this other forum, this guy seems to be getting out of the hobby, or at least selling all his stuff for his pirate impression. It might help you (or maybe someone else here).
MadJack Posted February 1, 2010 Author Posted February 1, 2010 When going thru CW reenacting I started off by getting what looked right, then having to buy what was right. Trying to avoid buying the same item 2 or 3 times to get it right. Thanks. Anymore advice?
