Mary Diamond Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 Ahoy All! Hoping everyone has returned home safe and sound... I am missing a few items from PiP, which may have gotten packed up with camp... A new cast pewter spoon (tablespoon) from Greg/WH One dark brown linen napkin Also missing ~ My fine antique linen handkerchief, no lace trim, but beautiful embroidered white flowers on it (from Bawdy Be, our first PiP). I would be most grateful if these items turn up! Oooh, shiny!
MorganDrake Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 Did you ask Fayma? She ended up with lots of little things that were left behind..
Mary Diamond Posted December 15, 2009 Author Posted December 15, 2009 Ah, no I hadn't ~ I thought I had left it on one of the camp tables. I will be sure to send her a note ~ thanks for the help! Oooh, shiny!
Galen O'Keeffe Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 Edward and Lily went home with a few unclamed odds and ends. not sure what your missing was among thier spoils, but its another person to ask
Rats Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 I found large spoon in my bag I got from Mikey...since I already have on , I think it's pewter?? Probably yours Donna?? I'm also still missing a mucket bowl thingy with hole to hang it on sh-tuff....Anyone?? No rest for the wicked! Wait a minute... that's me?!
Lily Alexander Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 Edward and I came home with a variety of things including spoons, bowls, shoes.............. I'll take some pics of all the items and post them tomorrow. I'm sure one of the bowls is yours Rats. I'm missing one large pewter spoon with the initials LA carved on the back of the handle and also a forged pot hook. It looks sort of like the capital letter "J" If you're gonna give me a headache, please bring me an aspirin! http://www.forttaylorpyrates.com/
Silkie McDonough Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 Unless it was left at the hide I don't have it. Even then I don't know WHEN I might be digging through that gear. If I find something your things I will of course set it aside for you. I may have "mucket bowl" but I don't know what that is.
Mary Diamond Posted December 16, 2009 Author Posted December 16, 2009 Thanks for keeping an eye out ~ as the spoon was just purchased at PiP from Greg, I didn't have time to put any marks on it. The napkin and spoon were most likely mislaid in our camp ~ the handkerchief at RF. Rats ~ I haven't seen the wooden porridger, though I recall seeing it around camp. Oooh, shiny!
callenish gunner Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 We came home with two wooden bowls that aren't ours (simple maple bowls 7" in diameter, about 1 1/2 inches deep) Walmart type...
Iron Jon Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 I found a large cloth napkin (white, about 16") after the pig roast. I don't know if it's linen or not and it didn't have any embroidery that I know of. I'll check my bags again when I get into my storage space tomorrow and see if it matches anything here. Capt. Sterling Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 Yellow and black cooler; the hot and cold silver bag; and that white binder with the Soldier's Manual is mine!! Mind bringing it back with you when you come down? Mary Diamond Posted December 17, 2009 Author Posted December 17, 2009 Ah, happy day! The spoon and perhaps the spoon-tip knife (I swore I had packed it, but can't find it now to get all the flatware back together) may be mine, if there are no markings on them. Oooh, shiny!
Lily Alexander Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 The little spoon has no markings and the big spoon has "#1" on the back of the handle. I don't see any markings on the knife. After more people claim their items, I'll send them all back to everyone. Most likely after the holidays. I won't even hold them for ransom :) If you're gonna give me a headache, please bring me an aspirin! http://www.forttaylorpyrates.com/
William Brand Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 Here are all the goodies that followed me home. My Rocket Dogs! Yes...I want those back when you get a chance. Just dump them in the sea chest for now. Â Â Â
Lily Alexander Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 Are they the ones that look like sneakers? If you're gonna give me a headache, please bring me an aspirin! http://www.forttaylorpyrates.com/
William Brand Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 Yep. They look like sneakers, but trust me...those shoes wanna fly. Â Â Â
Captain Jim Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 Yep. They look like sneakers, but trust me...those shoes wanna fly. They wanna fly but all they do is draw flies. My occupational hazard bein' my occupation's just not around...
Silkie McDonough Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 The clear hair clip is mine, bring it to Cap's the next time. The Silver & floral hair clip belongs to Grace. I am pretty sure that the latchet shoes are Dutches. Is that one white sock and one black? lol Any lanterns or kitchen ware that doesn't get claimed I would be happy to toss in with the equipment for the Hide when all is said and done.
Lily Alexander Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 Clear hair clip, in with Cap's stuff. I thought the floral one was Grace's also. Also in with Cap's stuff. I think the black sock is Cross's and they are a pair of white socks complete with holes. lol Sorry no lanterns. If you're gonna give me a headache, please bring me an aspirin! http://www.forttaylorpyrates.com/
Silkie McDonough Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 Drat, I thought those lanterns looked too good (and possibly not historically correct) to be left behind.
Diosa De Cancion Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 The chianti bottle you can toss. it was holding rum punch that I brought down to the camp :) Diosa De Cancion aka Mary Read www.iammaryread.com
theM.A.dDogge Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 if the wooden noggin is beat up...scratch..and most of the varnish is gone...probably mine
