Try these for starters- "A General History of the Pyrates" edited by Manuel Schonhorn, "Captured by Pirates" by John Richard Stephens, and "The Buccaneers of America" by Alexander Exquemelin.

arrrr.... being in the employ of a respectable museum in Washington DC, myself, this really burns my buttocks. If you are going to open a "museum" and call it a "museum" and poor taxpayer money into it, there should be a law stating that the museum have some historical accuracy.

Perhaps a call to the media would be in order?
