Capt. Sterling
More to come in the Fire Pits and Braziers thread, when Fayma is ready to post... But start gathering fire wood... anything but Bay wood...Fayma will explain more later, but she believes that those that need to know will most likely all ready understand about Bay Wood...worm issues... michaelsbagley
Hey, What is the verdict (or has there been one) on those small charcoal fireboxes? Traveling through at least half a dozen states, and wanting to be relatively self sustaining, is their use a viable option? found at Smoke and Fire and many other colonial sutlers. As an note, they would have to be left out in open site throughout the days as our tents are too small to hide one in on top of the rest of our gear... Not to mention the potential fire hazard of doing so. And the greater ease of being able to find and transport charcoal, and saving us the risk of trying to find firewood over the last leg of the journey and not risking breaking who knows how many state laws if we tried to bring it through several states. Dutchman
hey mates, don't forget the fireboxes that are already there. As I recall we spent some time figuring out how to cover them last year. For the sake of ease on ourselves and to lessen our footprint on the park, it might be an idea to utilize a few of them this year.

michaelsbagley
As mentioned several times prior... Braziers are permitted Thanks for the quick response, sorry about the duplicated question... As in former years, the lead up to the event does end up causing a lot of info to be buried, I appreciate you patience with this.

Sterling
You are very welcome...remember I am here not only to help the event organizers but those who are attending as well... that's what comes with being in the inner circle... more work... Commodore Swab
That is good to know they are permitted, something very similar is all that we need for the crimson crew so you don't need to worry about a "fire pit" for our crew. I will keep looking for wood here by the way.
