Capt. Sterling
Go read the changes thread by Spike... there will be a number of new things happening this year. https://pyracy.com/index.php?showtopic=15492 As to the Wedding, I will leave that to Fayma to explain. Her son is getting married at Pip this year. Edited September 15, 2009 by Capt. michaelsbagley
How many folks are going to Cafe Sole?! Heeee! Sterling, Believe me, I know. The past few months have been SO Crazy that I am playing big time catch up. Mickey and Kate have done an excellent job of keeping me in the loop, I must say. But I am clueless about a wedding and what this 150 limit is. *goes back to reading old threads* Don't worry about the wedding, I have been following the PiP threads the entire time and this is the first I am hearing of a wedding. I am going to go out on a limb and guess that the wedding is for them that are invited only... Either that or a general invite will be forthcoming... Either way Red, you are as up to date as any of the rest of us not in the inner circle of organization. The 150 limit was posted some months ago by Spike, and that was set to keep the camping area from outgrowing itself beyond a sustainable size. I think the camping list is at about 140 at the moment, and while more may "sign up" for beach area, it doesn't factor the usual 20 to 40 percent (my rough estimate from years of observations, actual numbers may vary) attrition rate suffered by most events (including PiP) in the last month or two running up to the event. Raphael Misson
150 is the number of campers they're allowing at the fort. If it's like last year, Jessi's staying with Callenish, so this is not an issue for her. And Mission is a 'J' so he likes make plans, although he tries not to be too slavish about this. Speaking of the topic (which we haven't been - guilty), is someone coming to Columbus this weekend who can cart Becky and her gibbet down to the fort? Otherwise I have to bring her back to Michigan with me and mail her. “We either make ourselves miserable or we make ourselves strong. RedJessi
Thanks for pointing out that thread Sterling - appreciated. Oi, good to know Michael! I was feeling woefully behind. And I actually do recall that 150 limit now, as I think I spoke to you or Jess about it through messenger one night when ye both assured me I was safe and on ye old list of campers with the Mercury crew. BECAUSE YOU ARE BOTH AWESOME. BTW, much aggrieved am I to miss the second Santa Maria event. I really must remember to win the lottery soon so I can do all the things I want... Capt. Sterling
my pleasure... here to help...no matter what others may claim "I being shot through the left cheek, the bullet striking away great part of my upper jaw, and several teeth which dropt down the deck where I fell... Capt. Sterling
And Mission is a 'J' so he likes make plans, although he tries not to be too slavish about this. Best to be a "J" in the early stages of planning and then quickly change to a "P" when the shite hits the fan... Kate Souris
Mission....as a side note. Becky scares the crap out of me every time I go in there to get the vacuum cleaner or print something.... I had to cover her up so Rats could sleep when he was here. Thought about taking her out of the gibbet and seatbelting her into the front seat for driving to Paynestown....was a bit worried about being pulled over for having a corpse in my passenger seat. That and I am sure her navigation skills are lacking. Though....she would have made a good addition to my zombie story...

Raphael Misson
Well, there's a difference between a wagonload of stuff containing a somewhat suspicious-looking assortment of bags and weapons and a crepe-paper and plastic simulated corpse strapped into the front seat. If the cops stopped me, they'd probably just roll their eyes the way most people do after I explain things like this. “We either make ourselves miserable or we make ourselves strong. Silkie McDonough
First, I want to thank RedJessi for starting this thread. I have been very remiss in the role I have carved for myself this year. I encourage everyone who wishes to PLEASE use the Hide and the fire at your leisure and/or as needed. I also should let you know that I do not own any cooking equipment and I don't have cooks this year either. I gathered a few last year but it was a lot of work and I can't commit to it this year. If someone has equipment that they wish to share with others and leave at the Hide I will make a place for them and have those on watch keep an eye on it as well. As to fires the fire pit will be there but with wood being scarce this year I can't promise to keep the fire burning all the time so you will have to bring your own charcoal (not briquettes if cooking while the general public is in the park) or wood. Anyone who wishes can relax at the Hide at any time. Anyone wishing to "work" at the Hide during the days is always welcome, you just have to ask me if assistance is needed before I will boss you around. LOL In all honesty I may not be around much in during daylight hours so if someone wants to act as a hostess while the "proprietress" is away please do! Any and all food donations will be shared. Nuts, dried fruits, fresh fruit, breads, cheeses etc would be greatly appreciated by all. Any one with more questions ...just ask Thanks all! Guest
Any and all food donations will be shared. Nuts, dried fruits, fresh fruit, breads, cheeses etc would be greatly appreciated by all. I was diggin' through some of my stuff today, and found some 7 to 8 year old hardtack.... nice and moldy.... and I'm not sure if those are maggots of weavels... weavels have legs don't they? Anyway.... ya want me to bring it?
Silkie McDonough
Actually Patrick I think that would be great for the kids coming through but not at the hide ...at one of the camps would be more appropriate. lol
Silkie McDonough
I forgot to mentioned that I also don't own a coffee pot or a fire grate or a tripod so no coffee there and no one is planning breakfast. However with all the oatmeal that Michael brought last year he may have some left. All that is needed is ...well everything else.
