Jacky Tar
Some say, love gives you wings. I say, love allows you to soar without them. Some say, love takes your breath away. I say, love gives you a reason to breath. Some say, love will overcome all obstacles. I say, love is an irresistible force. Some say, love is all we need. I agree. Iron Bess
You must have had a wonderful weekend! Well, you may not realize it but your looking at the remains of what was once a very handsome woman!
Ransom
Spoken like a true gentleman, which I know you are. ...schooners, islands, and maroons and buccaneers and buried gold... You can do everything right, strictly according to procedure, on the ocean, and it'll still kill you. But if you're a good navigator, a least you'll know where you were when you died.......From The Ship Killer by Justin Scott. Jacky Tar
You must have had a wonderful weekend! Hardly!!! (LOL) Why do ye suppose, women always think when men attempt t' write poems 'bout love that they must be talkin' about romantic love? Sorry, t' disappoint, no romantic weekend, an this was not 'bout romantic love. Sigh.... Edited September 10, 2009 by Jacky Tar
Ransom
My, JT, aren't we snarky... Actually, I was thinking it was more about you loving your kids. Suggestion: Next time you post a poem about love, maybe you could make a dedication, and give people a better idea of what you're on about, instead of getting all pissy when they make the wrong assumption. ...schooners, islands, and maroons and buccaneers and buried gold... Jacky Tar
My, JT, aren't we snarky... Not attemptin' t' be 'Snarky'. I love the idea o' romantic love, an on rare occasions I've experienced it. (This is wot happens when I read Keats 'fore bedtime.) The poem was for parents of children wit' special needs... God bless them! Little Freudian slip there Ransom... I'm not just yer JT; kinda hopin' I was Iron Bess's JT! (NOW THAT WAS SNARKY!) Ransom
My JT? Wrong usage interpretation here, Mr. Snarko. The "my" in question is used as an exclamation, such as in "Oh my!" NOT in the possessive, as in "my sword." I don't know whose JT you are, but if Iron Bess wants to claim you, she's more than welcome. Now, THAT'S being snarky! (No, folks, this is not a feud JT and I are really good friends. We do this all the time. Read the Pyrate Hunter's Smarter Brother, and you'll see. LOL ) In all honesty, JT, the poem was lovely, and after our phone conversation, I understand it even more. Well done. ...schooners, islands, and maroons and buccaneers and buried gold...
