Carolina Jolly Roger Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 I'm what you might call a pirate historian, I've been interested in Pirate history for some time now, I live in North Carolina, { home to Black Beard ) and we have lots of Pirate history along our coast, I saw your forum here and thought I would come aboard. I was thinking the other day, I bet the pirate's of the Golden Age never knew they would be so famous with people 300 plus years later, I recken their spirit still lives on in people like you. In the 1700's, about half of the Pirates were of Welsh descent.

I'm into diffrent Jolly Roger design's of the Golden Age, right now I have Black Bart Roberts flag with him and the skeleten holding a hour glass togeather, flying in my yard. In the 1700's, about half of the Pirates were of Welsh descent.
