Asolfr
Well now in all tha exitment i furgot to stand an introduce me'self. and notin that the brouge gets the better a me i tink i shall speak further a bit moor playn like. Well, I am known by many as Asolfr Mikill Vikarsson, a Lord in the SCA (not much but tis a title) and a longtime Crewman upon the great K.M.A. Defiant lead by the excellent Captain Scott. who was forced to sail on without us many months ago. the day i found out he had left us i picked us a leather welding apron tor it apart and began to draw. after many hours and a lot of time with a quill and ink (yes real one) i had finished something i had always wanted to make for him, a map o the Caribbean, tis the one displayed proudly on my site. As an artist i have always been drawn to draw sculpt, weld, carve and more. and the responce i had to Cptn Scotts map pushed me to begin making them for sale, not only that but it incouraged me to once again stand as a merchant, to bring what i could make, and that i could find to sell at events, why ...so i could go to events, before Cptn Scott Passed i had all but stopped playing after so many years i had lost my love for the fun of it, only attending a few main events each year. Now as a seller, i have a reason to be there, i have a purpose again. i attend much more and am looking to begin some of the regular pirate festivals in california. i've been selling for ten years or so but had fallen into the crag of selling only what you buy from vendors, and it took my heart out of it. But now i'm selling my maps, i do leatherwork, i sell guns which i love, The garb sellers i know and they or their familys make the garb i purchase for resale, my seamstresses are local and will do whatever i have need of, which has been cloaks but i have asked them to get me pricing on on a pirates half jacket many option going to be there. I sell swords i addmittedly get from a big exporter but that makes them cheapenough to make mony while having a decent sale. I really a simple fellow, grew up loving pirates, dad made me a real metal sword when i was 5 (not sharp) and showed me his cutlass styled matchette from hawaii while he roused my imagination with stories that usually started "ya kno when i was a pirate...", that blade is in its stand not 5 ft from me as i write this. and of course my 4yr old girl is as she puts it "NO, NO, i am a PIRATE Princess daddy" as she stands there in her nice little Disney princess dress with her wood cutlass in her belt, standing in the mess of gold coins, cosum jewlery, and her pirate maps spilling from her wood pirate chest all over my living room floor. i am also a carded SCA rapier fighter, and the local Baronies Chatelain (new-comers liason), the barony of Rivenoak (butte and glenn counties), Chico (CSU), bout a hour an a half north a sacramento. well thats all for now I hope my introduction has not bored you, if you need a map, a gun, some treasure or a bit a garb then feel free to e-mail me and tell me what ya need Asolfr Captain of the Blacktyde Purveyor of Asolfr's Workshoppe "If I don't have it, i'll find it If I can't find it, i'll make it If I can't make it, I'll steal it" So says Asolfr the Pirate

Ransom
Welcome to the Pub, sir. I'll admit, your first post had me a bit worried, but now that you've introduced yourself, you sound like a fine gentleman, to be sure. ...schooners, islands, and maroons and buccaneers and buried gold... You can do everything right, strictly according to procedure, on the ocean, and it'll still kill you. But if you're a good navigator, a least you'll know where you were when you died.......From The Ship Killer by Justin Scott. Rumba Rue
Welcome to the Pub! Hmmmmm.......Asolfr....what is that? Sounds like some kind of strange brew or lubricant... (please don't take me seriously!) Well as strange names go, there's plenty here to laugh about. Take a gander around the place and I'm sure there's all kinds of things you'll find interesting.
