CaptainSatan Posted July 19, 2009 Posted July 19, 2009 (edited) I sometimes offer to let crew mates participate in a wholesale order. But I am always suspicious of a merchant that is unable to cough up the capitol for a minimum wholesale purchase. If you are out of stock what happened to the money from your sales? Asolfr Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 (edited) I sometimes offer to let crew mates participate in a wholesale order. But I am always suspicious of a merchant that is unable to cough up the capitol for a minimum wholesale purchase. If you are out of stock what happened to the money from your sales? That is a serious question, so i'll drop the brouge. I sell many things, swords, garb, hand-made leather maps, leatherwork, cannons (yes), and much more. so naturally i don't invest mush into any one section, the guns i've been dealing with were from a middleman, the same guns from the same supplier, but i paid twice as much or more. it took a long time to track down the company, now ive found them and can get them at a good price, so i can sell them at a good price, i dont belive in charging $600 for a musket, the person wont want to use it there is to much of an investment. but i can sell that gun for half that and still make money , then the person will come back and buy again and again, many people here in the Pub have the same guns im offering and paid way more for them, they're good guns stout and durable meant to be used I've never ordered directly from the supplier before and it would take every last penny from my business to buy them, and that would not leave anything for the other items i have to keep stocked. i wouldn't even be able to buy more leather for the Caribbean maps i'm making (shameless plug) The sales i've been doing are fine but this order is just to much for me to handle, so i figure let all my pirate bretheren out there share in a little plunder, and get some for myself. but it wont last, once the minimum is filled the huge sale ends, i'll still give a good price but not quite THAT good. i'm thinking about doing this same thing every 3-4 months give everyone a chance to get a new toy but those prices as well will be a little more. but not oo much.
