Story Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 STOCKHOLM (Reuters) - Sweden's Pirate Party, striking a chord with voters who want more free content on the Internet, won a seat in the European Parliament, early results showed Sunday. The Pirate Party captured 7.1 percent of votes in Sweden in the Europe-wide ballot, enough to give it a single seat. Sjöröveren Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 Well normally, I'm all for Swedish Pirates, being the token Swedish Pirate around here. But these guys are one of the kinds of modern pirates that I can't abide, in this case, intellectual property thieves. Too many of my friends and family make their livings by their own creativity for me to have any sympathy for these pirates. the Fool's Gold Pirates
