Lily Alexander
I just thought of another consideration. Our cooking area :) According to their Safety Rules "Powder Magazine Requirements": "Must be kept at least 5 yards from the nearest public. No smoking, fires, open flames or other ignition sources are to be allowed within 5 yards of the powder box when it is open". Silkie McDonough
Mornin. :) Having the powder near the hide will eliminate smoking in the Hide. The cooking area should be easy access to the Hide (hoping to have a table or two in there). 3.2 is looking better. Lily Alexander
PW WW instead of WW WP Sorry to drive you crazy Jack but the magazine really needs to be blocked off from foot traffic. Capt. Sterling
The cooking area needs to be put off to the back and almost hidden from the public to some extent because we cannot have a fire pit but must use a modern day one...sigh.... of course it cannot be near the powder magazine and if people are living in the wedge tents, we really don't want them right on top of the powder either... I will get additional canvas for the magazine for shade and I would keep it at least ten feet away from living quarters since we do have the space... but the primary concern is keeping it away from the public. Capt. Sterling
no once its set up, it will stay up until tis cool enough to put back in the truck... Jack Roberts
PWWW instead of WW WP Sorry to drive you crazy Jack but the magazine really needs to be blocked off from foot traffic. Not at all. Tis why I made this post. Just so you know my reasoning behind the move. I was trying to keep the powder away from the bushes in order to keep the public out of harms way. Ok reworking yet again the drawing. I sense a version 4 on the horizon.
michaelsbagley
Ahhh... I think Mark and Jennie's tent is a 12 X 12 Pavillion (but double check with Sterling for the measurements), although please do leave room for a wedge as there may be another couple coming to fill it. Capt. Sterling
so there may be six pressed men (including their ladies)?? Need to know as Camp Mom wants a roster... I would rather put them down and not have them show, then have them show and she doesn't know about them.... Mark and I have been dealing with the boat, haven't gotten measurements for the canvas as of yet, but I will go and double check... Silkie McDonough
I agree Lilly. The two things that have to be kept from the public are the two things that must not be together! The powder and the fire pit.
Capt. Sterling
And there has to be a bleeding lamppost right in the middle of camp... wonder if they can turn that off at night... Capt. Sterling
Ah Lily, thanks for looking up the five yard issue... Damnation, I have to go tutor, but as soon as I get home, don't worry Jack, I will most likely change the entire thing... on a more serious note, do put the fire a bit closer to the hide and the powder magazine... ah lets just leave the powder home.... True but people can smoke around a fire. They can't around the powder. So yeah the bushes provide some protection (more of a barrier) from the Powder but someone could still lean over and flick something towards the powder mag. As to your concern Mickey, I think there will be plenty of room on that left side for a number of wedges even a pavilion. Version 4 should be up in a moment. Brilliant Idea!!! then I can blame it on Joshua when I use it on Pern... Did I mention, I managed to take both Pern's pistols at Fells Point? Only one more thing of his left worth stealing....
