You are shipwrecked on an island in the Caribbean after a storm sinks your ship. You may choose 3 items (material items not people) to take with you before the ship slides beneath the surface. You have one set of clothes that does not count toward your 3 items.

#2 Barrel - used to collect/store rain water

#3 Blunderbuss/musket with bayonet -Flint used for firestarting and bayonet used for cutting/piercing coconuts

1. My insulin pump and all the insulin I can carry.

2. Lighter

3. A Flat Blade Screwdriver (A screwdriver is probably the most useful tool man has created.)

If it is Barbados or St Lucia I am shipwrecked on, it would be suntan lotion (SPF4 because I wanna look good when I am rescued) a huge beach towel and a frozen mudslide.

If it is a DESERTED tropical island, it would be duct tape, WD40 and a nail file.

With that, you can do ANYTHING!

1. Machete, the most versitle thing made.

2. Tent, it can be used to collect water

3. Lots of Rum, the bottles can be used to hold the water from the tent.

Well if that be the case...I'd have been dead by the age of 5 or 6 from dehydration or insulin coma or some such making it a non-issue.

Why does everyone want to take canvas? If it is for shelter a tiki is easy enough to build, if its for collecting rain water well you can direct wain water by using palms easy enough as well.
