Tartan Jack
I though ya'll would find the wording in it. The monument sits on the Northern edge of "The Battery" on the Cooper River side, toward the Yorktown naval aviation museum. The monument in context: The park, with the monument just to the photographer's right The Monument itself: The text: -John "Tartan Jack" Wages, of South Carolina
Longarm
I met the great, great grandson of Colonel Rhett once. Unfortunately he was very ill at the time and apologized for not being able to tell me more of the family stories. But, he did agree with me that had Bonnet not tried to escape he would have been reprieved. I love the smell of gunpowder in the morning. To me it smells like....PIRACY!
