Hello mates

:D i was trying to search for a thread about what kind of food did pirates have in there encampment. i was looking for a list of what they might bring ashore,any help would be greatful

I'm not an expert at all, but while researching food for a pirate theme party, I read that pirates ate a lot of Solomon Grundy (is that the name they used for turtle soup?) while on ship, as well as hard tack - those nasty cracker bread things. Needless to say, I didn't go that route for the buffet. :D Boucaniers seemed to have grilled copious amounts of boar and cattle that had been released on various Caribbean Islands. Hell that sounds like a good time, grilling and large amounts of grog.
