Edward O'Keeffe
Here are the first pics of the game chest I have been working on. It came out larger than anticipated, but it should have enough room for all of Lily's games with room for growth (and then some). Or it could double as a impromptu dinner table. It is made of 1/2" poplar with pine trim. The top was done with milk paint. It will be finish coated with shellac. Now it just needs the lid cut, hinges installed, and internal storage boxes assembled. Edited April 3, 2009 by Edward O'Keeffe
Capt. Sterling
Well then hurry up and get back to work! very nice... I see ye have mounted the Goose as well... snigger. Lily Alexander
We're having a little debate and we would like some opinions. Instead of having the lid hinge, perhaps we could use the other side of the lid for a backgammon board? Yeah or nay. I will make no comment on mounting geese. callenish gunner
I think the backgammon board would be a nice inclusion ...small hasps mounted to the pass bar of the backgammon board that could be made to come out the sides of the lid to keep the lid on when traveling if you plan to have it mobile.... just a thought
Capt. Sterling
Or it could double as a impromptu dinner table. I have heard tis huge... seats 12 and my sea bed fits inside... Lily Alexander
In case anyone is wondering, it's 26 X 26 X 19 deep. It is huge. I think Mr Merriweather would fit quite comfortably.
