Capt. Bo of the WTF co.
I found two very nice pewter goblets at my favorite local flea-market today after mailing some stuff, $4 each. I was gonna add them to the PiP plunder for next year, but when the kids got off the bus and inside... well, I've raised them well and the goblets have been plundered by the little pyrates! Gotta give 'em their due, they presented an infalible argument for their cause: "Dad, these are not your good glass ones so we can use them for our "kid-wine" and they won't get broke." ("kid wine" is sparkling grape juice BTW) Bo

landlubbersanonymous
Don't want to risk losing your favorite headcover at sea? On a tight budget or want loaner hat(s)? These floppy hats can be found at Target in the U.S. They're made for "Mossino" in some far away Chinese sweat shop. They're 100% wool and have an approx 5" crown and 5 1/4" brim. The two large ones shown will fit a 23-24" noggin. The thickness is approx 1/8". (Retail at time of posting, approx $21 each after tax.) Sample of a flute glass, one of several we found this week at the local 99¢ Store. (Approx height 6 3/4") Edited January 18, 2012 by landlubbersanonymous
Captain McCool
Nice finds! Gotta hit Boutique Tar-jay... landlubbersanonymous
They're made for "Mossino" in some far away Chinese sweat shop. That's Mossimo with a second "m." Sorry, my bad. Also, I did not see these at Target last year. I don't know if they've been discontinued or not. We'll check again this Fall. They do show up on U.S. eBay. They have a distinctive zig-zag patterned band on the crown that's easily removed.

(Missoni is actually the one with the zig-zag band. Mossimo are normally plain.) Edited September 20, 2014 by landlubbersanonymous
