Silkie McDonough
Yea Nell! ...and yes ...you should do something about your size. Sometimes large is good ...ask any pirate. Sometimes ...large is a pain in the arse to build on a slow computer & it takes up a lot of space on the page. Ask any designer. I agree ...reduce, reduce, reduce. luv ya Nell
Captain Jim
Actually if you are having problems with a slow computer due to signature banners there is a switch under "my controls", "board settings" that turns them all off. My occupational hazard bein' my occupation's just not around...
Patrick Hand
You can reduce you image down more.....without loosing too much quality.... Just for run, if you right click on an image and then check out Properties, you can find out what size the banners (or any images) are.... Rusty Nell's....... 75.18 Silkie's.............. 33.47 Capt. Jim's........ 91.58 Mine....................9.
Patrick Hand
Nell, just quickly playing with your new banner in Photoshop... right now, it's a .jpg at 72 DPI and 75.18K Turning it into a .gif with 256 colors makes it 80.16K .............................with 128.......................64.3K .............................with 64........................49.66 It gets too fuzzy at 32 colors but it's only ..... 37K A .gif with 64 colors; loses some of the detail, but it still works, and it's almost half the size of the original.... I'll shrink it eventually.....still for now.... Nya Nya....mine LOOKS bigger than YAOURS! LOL! Thanks Patrick, I'll look into the "actual" size and adjust it. anyway I want to show it off for a bit so, I'll shrink it later “PIRACY, n. Silkie McDonough
Patrick ...I am impressed. You are such a man! Showing how small yours is. Just proves that size doesn't matter. Nell, it isn't so large that I have problems with it at all. We have had this discussion in the past on the pub. I like your signature ...as I like Jim's. I use to have a large one myself. Then the discussion and ...well I decided to shrink it. So show it off lass. Edited December 21, 2008 by Silkie McDonough

Hester
My number is 22.8. Hey, I'll claim that for my waist measurement too! But I've asked for some PhotoShop software for Xmas (or in the Boxing Day sales), so that I can tweak my sig and incorporate the text into the picture. Cheers, Hester P.S. I liked yours big, Nell! LadyBarbossa
Fantastic signature, Nell. The one I have is usually standard on most forums. Most usually state no larger than a pixel width and height of 400 by 150. The size will come down with the pixel resize. ~Lady B Tempt Fate! an' toss 't all t' Hell!"
