blackjohn Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 That would be me as the Green Lantern, with my wife as Supergirl, and her best friend Jen as Batgirl. I think this is from two or three Halloween's ago. I agree with the Rev. The Green Lantern totally rocks. Good stuff!!! My Home on the Web The Pirate Brethren Gallery Dreams are the glue that holds reality together.
blackjohn Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 Oh, my goodness, I have a variety of costumes! I go to San Diego Comic Con every year dressed as something. This year I did both Disneyland Alice in Wonderland and adult Alice in Wonderland. The past 2 years I was Supergirl. Those pics of you and your guyfriend &c dressed in the classic Trek stuff just make my day. Perfect! My Home on the Web The Pirate Brethren Gallery Dreams are the glue that holds reality together.
blackjohn Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 ::::whimpers::: damnit. Wish I had pictures of my Star Trek uniforms. Tis a bummer I don't have them at all. I know what you mean. Somewhere I have a couple of me and the missus in classic Trek uniforms. Also, somewhere I have one of her in a NextGen uniform. But where...??? And then there's one of me in my Old West/Firefly outfit, taken just about the same time as the one here... but I'm holding a Tommie Gun with a drum magazine!!! (Some of my other friends were doing a moonshiner vs G-men camp at that same event.) My Home on the Web The Pirate Brethren Gallery Dreams are the glue that holds reality together.
blackjohn Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 My father and I out having fun. Now that's fun. I gotta hand it to ya Harbormaster, you know how to have fun! My Home on the Web The Pirate Brethren Gallery Dreams are the glue that holds reality together.

There's Dark Phoenix blasting me! Bravo! My Home on the Web The Pirate Brethren Gallery Dreams are the glue that holds reality together.
Mission Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 Old West... That is a great costume. Mycroft: "My brother has the brain of a scientist or a philosopher, yet he elects to be a detective. What might we deduce about his heart?" John: "I don't know." Mycroft: "Neither do I. But initially he wanted to be a pirate."
Brig Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 Harley Quinn, Halloween '06 Annnnd some dance costumes Mae (far left) and me (far right) made last year. Oh, how beautiful it used to be Just you and me, far beyond the sea -Nightwish Alice Mason, Crewe of the Archangel
Mission Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 I love the Harley Quinn character. The episode where she tries to go straight is hilarious. (It looks like a cool costume - where's the full length color version? And the hood?) Mycroft: "My brother has the brain of a scientist or a philosopher, yet he elects to be a detective. What might we deduce about his heart?" John: "I don't know." Mycroft: "Neither do I. But initially he wanted to be a pirate."

Hawk the QM Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 Still my favorite villain from the cartoon series. Even if she wasn't all that villainous. Awesome costume.
Rumba Rue Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 Well here are some of my top winning costumes I've done for Sci-fi cons. Destiny: Sweetheart Amanda:
Rumba Rue Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 And of course my Best in Show costume titled: The Peacock Ball, Cecil B. DeMille Style: Sadly the photos don't do the outfit justice.
Brig Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 I love the Harley Quinn character. The episode where she tries to go straight is hilarious. (It looks like a cool costume - where's the full length color version? And the hood?) She's my absolute favorite. Here's the full thing, picture quality is crap, though. And sadly, the hood was missing when I got the costume and didn't come in in time. Oh, how beautiful it used to be Just you and me, far beyond the sea -Nightwish Alice Mason, Crewe of the Archangel
Rev.Sam Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 Brig, that is awesome. I love Haley as a character. I am currently working on a Jayne Costume (Which I have most everything for) for this spring
Captain Mickey Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 Thank you. I don't know if it's a credit to your costuming, my knowledge of all things geek, or both that I recognized all of your costumes without reading the captions. Even Dawn? Well done, indeed, sir! She's a bit obscure for most! Wasn't she a redhead who was a pin up drawing? She married the god of death or something like that? Mickey Flint First Mate o' the Harbinger Me Website...
LadyBarbossa Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 Oh, wicked outfits, Grey. Hehehe... very wicked. Love the Star Wars ones. Bloody hell, forgot about the Jedi outfit I had for Halloween one year. I'll have to search for that one. Lady B Tempt Fate! an' toss 't all t' Hell!" "I'm completely innocent of whatever crime I've committed." The one, the only,... the infamous!
Cpt Sophia M Eisley Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 Cool costumes folks! I like that one of blackjohn's too...looks very Badgerish. michaelsbagley Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 Sophia, that is brilliant!!! I love Kaylee (who doesn't?)! So many good costumes here in this thread... Although I am picking up a distinct superhero slant with some notable exceptions...
Black Syren Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 And of course my Best in Show costume titled: The Peacock Ball, Cecil B. DeMille Style: Sadly the photos don't do the outfit justice. As for me..Elvira *my fave*and The Wicked Witch of the West http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v519/Dara286/trident01-11.png If you got a dream chase it, cause a dream won't chase you back...(Cody Johnson Till you Can't)
RedJessi Posted December 12, 2008 Author Posted December 12, 2008 Thank you. Aye, she is the Goddess of birth and rebirth and the lover of Cernnunos, AKA the God of death (in this particular mythology anyway). She is one of the elder Gods and can travel across all the planes, with the proper sigil. The roses on one arm are the key to hell and the chains on the other are the key to heaven. Me and some of the Askewnivese gang dressed up as Mooby employees for last years MegaCon. And since he's been mentioned, here's me getting a pic signed by BADGER!
