(Loyal Order of Reenactment Enthusiasts) provides a track of pirate workshops along side it's renaissance classes for it's workshop weekend. Classes are open to all. Class schedule is not announced yet. In the past No Quarter Given has helped to arrange for classes in the following subjects: Pirate History & Culture, Pirate Persona Development, Pirate Costuming, Beginning Blackpowder, Advanced Blackpowder, Dockside Tavern Songs, Swordplay, Intro to Cannons, Historic Rogues Meet at the Tavern, Games Pirates Played, Setting up the Pirate Camp, Beginning Drumming: Eastern Styles & Celtic Bodhran (bring your own drum if possible), Pirate Dance -- Jigs and Hornpipes, Navigation in the Age of Discovery & Colonization, Pirate Stereotypes: True or False, Rum 101 (History and Rum Tasting), Pyrate Basics, History of Firearms: Matchlocks to Flintlocks, All You Wanted to Know about Ropes and Knots But Were Afraid to Ask, etc. Attendees may select to attend either Renaissance or Pirate classes, or some of both. After classes on Saturday, join in the Participants Swap Meet (bring items to barter and trade). Attendance fee includes dinner on Saturday evening, followed by a show.
