Fayma Callahan Posted October 28, 2008 Posted October 28, 2008 The Good Captain Callahan wanted me to post a Topic to give him an idea on arrival times, so that we can make sure that we get ample photo ops of all the crewes this year. Also, so that we can let you know that we come bearing gifts...We have a DVD of last years pics, and some other loot in our holds, ready to give to you all. If you could post the day and time here, we can also assist with any pickups at the airport as needed. Can't wait to see you all! http://picasaweb.google.com/jamesacallahan100

If you could post the day and time here, we can also assist with any pickups at the airport as needed. I'll be arriving on Sunday, Nov 30, although I don't plan to spend much time at the fort before Wednesday. (Why plague Harry with my excess (lack of) help - I'll just skip in and pick up my bike and surgical gear and leave him blissfully unencumbered by Mission. :) ) I hope to visit Marathon in the beginning of the week and bike out to Pigeon Key and maybe to spend a day or so at Bahia Honda. (I need a new Bahia Honda T - I wrecked my old one. ) Although I would like to get that thing Tony wrote for properly expanding the size of photos in Photoshop. I could sure use that at times. Mycroft: "My brother has the brain of a scientist or a philosopher, yet he elects to be a detective. What might we deduce about his heart?" John: "I don't know." Mycroft: "Neither do I. But initially he wanted to be a pirate."
RedJessi Posted October 28, 2008 Posted October 28, 2008 My very last class (finishing my master's degree!) ends at 4:30pm on Thursday. I will be leaving right from the campus (which is in Miami) and heading to Key West, so I should roll into camp in the early evening. Hopefully my GPS will direct me well. heh
William Brand Posted October 28, 2008 Posted October 28, 2008 I highly recommend doing a large group shot immediately following one of the big battles on Saturday. I think we would have had more people under the banner had we done so last year and I kick myself for forgetting to take one.

Just head down US 1 (which becomes N. Roosevelt and then Truman) until you reach Whitehead. Take a right. Head to Southard (Green Parrot Bar will be on your immediate left. Take a left onto Southard. Go past the guard gate at Truman Annex. The road after a stop or two begins to dogleg left. Look for the fort entrance with its own guard gate. Down take the hard left off the road onto Covington - that's another guard gate but it has machine guns and navy personnel. If you preregistered Harry will have maps for you. -- Hurricane -- Hurricane ______________________________________________________________________ http://piratesofthecoast.com/images/pyracy-logo1.jpg Captain of The Pyrates of the Coast Author of "Memoirs of a Buccaneer: 30 Year Before the Mast" (Published in Fall 2011) Scurrilous Rogue Stirrer of Pots Fomenter of Mutiny Bon Vivant & Roustabout Part-time Carnival Barker Certified Ex-Wife Collector Experienced Drinking Companion "I was screwed. Capt. Sterling Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 Does anyone have the Pub flag? Stynky Tudor Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 Well for various reasons – smart or not, I decided that I would drive to PiP this year. I am going to aim for Friday - Saturday at the latest. I’m driving in from California so I’m not sure when I’ll arrive exactly. It basically going to depend on how well I calculate my travel time vs how fast I actually travel. Ideally I would like to get there in enough time to recoup from the drive.
