A Pirates Life
First I would like to thank Stynky for allowing me to post this request on his forums. Now on to the business at hand. I am starting a new website dedicated to pirates. I am having the site professionally designed so it should end up looking pretty good. The design should be done in a week or so unless there are issues that come up. The site I hope will become a database for all things pirates. I would like to have bios on all the famous and not so famous pirates along with their port-o-calls among other things. I was going to write the bios myself but writing is not my forte. I started thinking that maybe the best place to find people who are writers and who love pirates would be here, so here I am. Would anyone be interested in writing bios or any articles on pirate life for my new website? I am open to suggestions as far as articles are concerned. So if you have an idea I would love to hear about it. The website is in my signature. I will be posting this in the Literature and Lore section also. Thanks for taking the time to read it. If you have questions please PM me or post here and I will be more than happy to answer them. Sincerely, Adam New Pirate website coming soon. Crows Nest Vintage
Dear Kinde Sir Adam; Would you be interested in a pirate reporter to cover stories about a musical group called the Bilge Pumps. They will arrive to serenade all for the Dickens on the strand event , Galveston Texas. I usually attend Dickens of the Strand, if possible. December 6th through December 7th The Bilge Pumps won't be having alligator for Christmas this year as we'll be missing the Louisiana festival this year (Click here for an explanation why) and heading back to the world that Charles Dickens invented and raiding Dickens on the Strand. Details are a bit sketchy as the event's still a long way off, but we'll likely be splitting time between singing at Pier 21 by the tall ship Elissa and hitting various stages in the Strand itself. In the meantime we'll be spreading our oooey-gooey pirate Christmas carols around and generally giving everyone the gift of nausea for the holidays. Bilge Rat http://www.thebilgepumps.com/press.htm this is information on the group for press packages http://www.thebilgepumps.com/ Saw them when they performed On the Elissa, a tall ship for Texas, in Galveston, Texas Galveston historical society http://www.galvestonhistory.org/Texas_Seaport_Museum.asp Edited November 2, 2008 by Crows Nest Vintage "Your pieces of eight Ye Wager soon, I shall be sparkin' some Pirate art by the light of the Moon"
