A very happy birthday to my friend, Edward O'Keeffe. A fine fellow, remarkable carpenter and the most indignant pirate ever to be raised from the dead only to go storming about yelling for a hat. Raise a glass!

A very happy Birthday to Pyrate O'keefe then!

I have no hats...how about some pirate duckies?

Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help....

Her reputation was her livelihood.

I'm a pirate, love. By nature and by choice!

My inner voice sometimes has an accent!

My wont? A delicious rip in time...

Hear, hear! Maker of fine fids!

Mycroft: "My brother has the brain of a scientist or a philosopher, yet he elects to be a detective. What might we deduce about his heart?"

John: "I don't know."

Mycroft: "Neither do I. But initially he wanted to be a pirate."

Happiest o' Natal days to ye Lad!!!

Shall we populate yer cake wi' fids instead o' candles? ;)

Mebbee not... might look like a wicked bear trap er some such... Then again, fer a pyrate, that might be fun!

Slainte!!!

Many happy returns of the day... ye crafty bugger ye.

My deepest thanks to all who took the time to comment on my completing yet another more or less successful circumnavigation of the sun. It means a lot to me. Here is to 40 more, but only if I get to keep company with such a fine band as you all.
