I design the T-shirts and posters for the fund raising events. You have a great idea and design however when looking at it, the pin is not immediately recognizable as a cancer fund raising item. Perhaps if it had something like “Help Stop Breast Cancer”, Pirates Against Cancer or “Stop Cancer” it would be recognized and attractive to more than re-enactors. On the other hand it be good plunder for pirates. Good luck with your project. If I can help in any way let me know and when you get the final pricing down I’d like to place an order. That could work! I did the relay for life this year, and got a bit choaked up when I went around the track for the survivors. When I told them I still had the sutures and it was found at stage 0, I got a good clap. Made me tear up a bit. I hope beyond hope that they find a cure in my lifetime.. I have 2 daughters that might have it. I would spare anything for them NOT to have it. if you have 10 women friends.. chances are that 1 will have breast cancer... I"m looking into getting tees made, and renfairepirate can do those also. I"m also going to check with a company here that can do em.. has anyone sold tees that can tell me what to order and what to avoid for a larger order? My company and a local computer company ..,we team up.,weve averaged 1500+ for an over night event for the last 3 years.., because of some of the product donations other stores have volunteered us...., and we raffeled thebaskets of goodies off., and of course the games we play *Wink* A couple of pirates and a ball field full of Boobs that have been saved is a good thing.., and here I thought I was alone? No my crewe is an ominous and nasty bunch ., a ragged band of mischevious individuals really., The kind yer mother warned you about you know. The gal in the pink (Kathy ) has since past., those are her children., the fellow with the brown shirt next to me.., he owns the computer shop ., He and I do this each year . We are lucky tho we have a local auto-parts store that makes us a "Car care package" and we have a book store that donates ., an arts and craft store., so we end up with a good raffle for the things. The relays are sad and happy We try to make fun and get the money When I first started and saw the ribbons ., it was my father that explained to me what each color of ribbon means (Differant colors for differant cancers) ..., We are all very lucky as we all know., if we dont get cancer.,someone we know will. There are quite a few choices, but grosgraine will be the most sturdy. . I very much like what Lady Alyx had with the skull ribbons, but I think they can be best used at faire for a small amount of donation, and leave most of the button sales to online.. but then again they would do well at fest!
