Morgan Ann Drake
Hello everyone my name is Lori. I'm working on a pirate character and her name is Morgan Drake and that is unfortunately as far as I have gotten so far with her. I was thinking of her being an illegitimate child of Sir Francis Drake but I don't know if this is appropriate or not by following a true privateer, and again I just don't know where to take it from here. MadL
Welcome and good meet Morgan Drake, 'n thank ye for th' round indeed! now this here 'lori' ye mention, might that be like one o' those pretty bird lorikeets for sit'n on yer shoulder? A right feminine like pirate parrot indeed *best watch me manners else I witness the next generation "Castrating Katy" saga as it unfold!* ~All skill be in vain if an angel pisses down th' barrel o' yer flintlock! MadL
Well now, as for this 'illegitimate child' o' Sir Francis Drake, I would ha'e t' be under th' feel'n that true privateer 'er not there would be no harm when create'n a fictional character....well, unless the good Drake he'm self was t' come a knock'n at 'er door, then I would suggest ye run 'er grab yer sabber 'an hope for the best ;P Now, as for where t' go with her? Well, perhaps if'n she is a 'pirate' where her father'd seed was a 'privateer', this just may tell of another side o' Sir Francis Drake that ne'er got captured in the history books. Also if Drake had knowlege of the lass 'n shunned her, perhaps due to the reputation her mother carried ye see, then that could explain her becoming an honorable pirate lass rather then a shifty-eyed privateer lacky t' the royal house ye see. Or perhaps she not know yet that Sir Francis Drake is her father, her father bed'd her mother then left (the cade!) so she has grown up only with her mother and the pirate crew she commanded. Through fate however, she now become'n a woman 'n with her life o' piracy on the high seas now her path come t' cross ol' Drakie, who by on the way, has been sent t' hunt down her mother (that be ye see, he's secret 'n unbeknown lover). With Morgan Drake unawares that Sir Francis be her father, 'n Sir Francis be unawares that he be a father....well now, when these two meet, 'n Morgan's mother rush t' stop Francis from run'n her through...and then.....uh, sorry, this here be yer tale t' tell.... Aye, I think a lot could be done with a character born t' a famous figure but unbeknown t' th' books. Or ye can just say she Captain Jack Sparrow's daughter, but that would most likely frighten the pretty lorikeet on her shoulder off 'n we can not be ha'en her run round the seven seas parrotless 'an all now ~All skill be in vain if an angel pisses down th' barrel o' yer flintlock! So keep yer cutlass sharp, 'n keep her close!
