StichWitchJane
How might I go about makin' me some of this stuff? I have a limited budget, and being a thrifty sort, I learned to sew. So can anyone show me some patterns? Preferably with pictures of the end results. This pyrate will be most eternally grateful to you! Thank'ee in advance! :) Hey, ho, to the bottle I go, To heal my heart and drown my woe, Rain may fall, and wind may blow, But there still be... Many miles to go! Sweet is the sound of the pouring rain, And the stream that flows from hill to plain. Better than rain or rippling brook, Is a mug of beer inside this Took! HEY! This wench never says no to a free grog... StichWitchJane, the pyrate with an education ph34r the l33t pyr4t3!
Black Deacon
Folkware and Period Patterns are a good start. -------------- "Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in one pretty well preserved piece without an even a kiss your hand, but to skid across the line broadside, thoroughly used up, worn out, smelling of powder, shouting ARRRG!!" Captain Emerald Shaunassey
Butterick also has a few "Making History" patterns that would suffice for piratical garb. The one pattern I have is # 3072. I use a more "Halloweenish" Butterick pattern to make my sashes out of (# 3556). They are cheaper than the Folkwear & Period Patterns and with a bit of research, can be altered to give a historical look. Hope this helps ya out With Respects, Cap'n Emerald Captain Emerald Shaunassey O' The Salty Kiss www.TheLadiesoftheSaltyKiss.com
