How will ye Die?!

Recommended Posts

As for my answer...ya, laugh it up, Feather Boiy!

Feather Boiy? Are you referring to Hector? He wouldn't laugh at yer outcome, he would only shrug and state "why am I not the least bit surprised?" And likewise for Bess....

Black Death...

I think they have their centuries mixed up. Might as well say the Potato Blight....**shrugs**

Well, there was the Bubonic plague in the late 17th in London and environs...that was called the Black Death.

Still, I don't think they did as much research as they think they did. As I noted previously, very few people (as a percentage of all the people) would have died from bullet wounds. If they died in battle, it would have probably have been from infection (from various battle wounds) or splinters. Yet we've seen more lead poisoning than any other cause. (Either that or people keep entering different names until they like the result they get.)

"George Lake. (Plague.) Sir George Lake (Dysentery.) Sir William of Thackery (Too much snuff.) Black William of Thackery (Syphalis). Damn!...Um... William the Black (Burned at the stake. Get it?) Pirate Sam (Powder magazine blown up by rabbit.) Sam Black (Lead poisoning from bullet wound.) Ah!"

Congratulations! You managed to pass as a man in the army, and died like one, too. Severe death.

.....Hmmm, I died severely. That sounds about right, lol

I knew this guy last year, he just died mildly.

.....we're still waiting for him to take his last breath and shut up about it!

Well the plaque did rear its ugly head quite a bit in the later years, now if it were the actual strain referred to as the Black Death, I'm not sure, but it is listed here and there even into the 18th century...

I didnt set my skirts on fire but I did pass out from cooking in a tight bodice and pants. My death sounds reasonable for me...

In keeping with long and glorious tradition, you are burned at the stake.

You made it past the childhood diseases, the religious wars, the epidemics, and your neighbors' sheep dogs. Die peacefully in your bed.

Die in bed? Me? I always thought it would be a duel or a sword fight.... I better be doing something interesting in bed to cause me to die peacefully...

Sayyyy...no one has died from a sword wound! What?! No swords in the 17th?

No, th' Queen she has put a ban on runnin' wit' cutlasses she has. Nah a single death by blade o' cutlass since.

B)

However I did hear that ole Jim th' tailor was runnin' wit' scissors when he tripped on a cannon ball 'n did die.

Well, actually I think the official findings were that it be the 2 pint o' rum what he put down just be'fer he took on the run....

Starvation. You were a poet and not a farmer, right?

Me? Die of starvation? Never going to happen! It's far more likely that I would have been drowned by an overzealous anabaptist, or have been mistaken for a corpse while sleeping and quickly dissected before I could object.

I am neither a poet nor farmer. I'm more of a 17th century Cliff Clavin. So I most likely would have been beaten to death by those who had simply had enough of my blathering.
