oderlesseye Posted March 17, 2008 Share Posted March 17, 2008 Eye have been growing a beard for awhile now and so it is for me a natural thing to wanna attach beads in a few strands ~ And No this ain't like a Jack Sparrow! I'm doing my own gig here.. for Escondito and PirateCon.. I have tried tieing beads on with string with some sucess but it is time consuming. Some slippage wil occur. So I tried some mini plasctic clamp thingies but they just slide out of the hair and will not support the weight of the beads.. Any one ever try this and what did ya do to get it to work? Rumba Rue Posted March 18, 2008 Share Posted March 18, 2008 Yes, braiding is the thing to do, then be sure and use a bit of colored yarn or thin ribbon to tie the end of the braid, then slip ribbon, yarn or similar through the top of the beads and then slide the ribbon through the top of the braid and tie, it should hold.
