This is why I always figure the price of the postage into the amount I want to bid. If they don't list it, I ask the seller. I've actually had pretty good luck with UK stuff, although $17 pounds (about $26) is a tad steep. But again, you just figure that into the total amount you want to pay and bid accordingly.
