Capt. Sterling Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 Now wait just a minute. She signed the Mercury articles! (If only we had a captain to defend the Mercury's rights...) And nay, she did NOT sign any Mercury articles, if there even are any.... besides what are articles only a piece of paper... now where is that lit cigar of mine! "I being shot through the left cheek, the bullet striking away great part of my upper jaw, and several teeth which dropt down the deck where I fell... Lily Alexander Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 The Captain is correct. I signed no articles that I can remember. Or perhaps the rum made me do it. Either way, I have the cigars Captain. If you're gonna give me a headache, please bring me an aspirin! http://www.forttaylorpyrates.com/

Misson Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 Every Mercury crew member would have signed the article, no one could be missed on a proper pirate ship...no one, except, by coincidence, me. [/Lee Marvin]. (Surgeon's were rarely made to sign the pirate articles.) (For a really interesting account of how hard it was to avoid signing a pirate ship's articles even when forced to be a pirate, read Philip Ashton's A History of the Strange Adventures and Signal Deliverances of Mr. Philip Ashton Jun. of Marblehead.) callenish gunner Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 We have already begun our plans for PIP this year and we will be back to Hampton next year with additional stock and a wider selection of goodies. Also for those so inclined we will accept work on consignment for the events for those who feel so inclined as to try to balance the expense of the travel with the sale of high quality period work. You set the price and give us enough background that we will be able to market your wares for you. We don't want nor will accept a cut for your items!!! What's good for one pyrate is good for all!
