My best friend/brother has a resin cast skull that has topped his trees as long as I have known him to put one up! We was more the biker crew in the early days, but always the pyrate at heart! Lot's of paralell between the pyrate crew and the bikers says I. Shoulder to shoulder and back to back in the fight and always ready to rumble! Huzza! I was thinking for the topper of a big red X to mark the spot Pyrate Santa should place my Plunder..But could not figure out how to do it. The topper on there now is a Mega Bloks skull and is just temp till I can find something more fitting. I also have the ships from the Card Game the Pirates of the Spanish main on there but you cannot see them well. Where did ye find yer small tankard? Red-Handed Jill Posted December 17, 2007 Share Posted December 17, 2007 Should have taken photos of the entire tree, since we had wee cannons, ships, shrunken heads, etc. hanging from it, but here are tree toppers from Christmases past: You can't tell from the photos, but there are lights in the eyes (red lights, in case you were wondering...) This year's tree is in a Mardi Gras theme - the tree topper is our buddy the skull again, but wearing a mask. I'll have to take a pic one of these days. I often thought about doing at least a nautical tree and using these bottle hang tags as onaments along with ship's wheel's etc. Since I handcraft Santa's I thought about making a Pirate Santa this year, but got off on a tangent on making a Krampus, I let you all look that character up if you want to. LOL And Just had this brilliant idea...You know how they put a little train under the tree to run around it..Why can't we have a pyrate ship?
