Capt Thighbiter
Didn't mean to slam the work YOU did, HM, you obviously did your reaserch and then some. Me, I never fired a live round, and never want to! Stricktly blanks for Faires and Festivals here. Still, "The more Complete Cannoneer" is a must read for anyone firing black powder cannon, blanks or otherwise. Good luck with 'em Mate Pirate music at it's best, from 1650 onwards The Brigands
Rusty Barrels
I sure didn't know about the removeable breach, was that in the book too Harbormaster ? I better reread it in detail.
HarborMaster
For Sub Scale and modern replicas theres alot of rules ., and Switlick is coming out with an updated book which I am sure will cover them. Switlik doesnt cover the breach., I'm sure thats NSSA . Casting solves the trunnion problem., but it too then opens up a whole new can of worms. For example you should pour vertical not horizontal.., but then the barrel should be sleeved., I am still learning too. Sorry. I am not Lost .,I am Exploring. Red Cat Jenny
Bump. Hoping Harbormaster is all recovered and adjusted to semi retirement? How goes the cannon? Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.... Her reputation was her livelihood. I'm a pirate, love. By nature and by choice! My inner voice sometimes has an accent! My wont? A delicious rip in time...
